Hosting Review

For more than i remember i have been using a lot of different hosting plans. To start with back in 2013 i was using Godaddy as a solution to my hosting needs.

The experience with Godaddy have been not that outstanding to quote because of their limited features they have (in terms of hosting only).

After my journey with GoDaddy, i was looking to start with something little cheaper/cost-effective, so i started using Studyhost for my hosting needs. They are a good hosting company with good support. I was using their premium hosting pack and using a 50% discount coupon code (US50 in terms of US hosting, UK50 in terms of UK hosting). It used to cost me somewhere around 1100 INR/year.

One of the most cost effective service i have to say.

Post that i was introduced to the concept of Bounce Rate and i came to understand that because of slow speed i may be losing a lot of quality traffic and to solve the misery i moved to the next destination i.e. Hostgator

But to add on to the misery, my domains get blocked sometimes because of the affiliate offers i keep running on them.

To find the final fix, what i did was purchased an entire reseller plan of Hostgator and now i get different Cpanels for different domains, taking care of website speed and blocking.

It is costing me somewhere around 1175 INR/month but that’s reliable for the lights of making multiple websites.

You must be imagining that why not go for Baby plan instead?

To answer that, if i go for baby plan – i get limited amount of server space and bandwidth ultimately resulting in slow speed of websites. If my landing page loads slowly then i am losing money than winning money.

Also if i go for more than one baby plan, it costs me much higher.

To get above all my pains, i chose Hostgator as my partner and i am happy growing my business.

PS: Beware of cheap hosting, it could be a pain in the ass.

    I want to know the meaning of this line
    “But to add on to the misery, my domains get blocked sometimes because of the affiliate offers i keep running on them.”

    • It means when you promote affiliate offers too much and people don’t like it they can complain against you leading to blocking your domains or many at times if you email illegitimately your ip reputation takes a hit leading to your domain being shut off and hence the misery.

    If you want to hide disqus branding from your comment box, just like i did on my website , then add this CSS to your custom CSS-

    #disqus_thread {
    position: relative;
    #disqus_thread:after {
    content: “”;
    display: block;
    height: 55px;
    width: 100%;
    position: absolute;
    bottom: 0;
    background: white;
